How to Measure Ring Size
The following table display measurements alongside corresponding ring sizes, making it simple to match the circumference of your finger or a well-fitting ring to a standard size. You can print or bookmark these chart for easy access.
Step 1:
Cut a strip of paper long enough to wrap comfortably around your finger. Choose paper that’s firm enough to stay intact but flexible for wrapping—printer paper works well. When cutting, simply estimate the length needed to go around your finger; exact measurements aren’t necessary.
Step 2:
To find the right ring size, wrap the paper around your knuckle snugly on the finger where you’ll wear the ring. It’s important to measure around the knuckle so the ring can slide on comfortably. Adjust until the paper fits just right—snug enough but able to move past the knuckle in both directions.
Step 3:
Mark the spot where the paper overlaps by drawing a line at the top edge. This line should align precisely with the edge of the paper underneath. If marking it while holding the paper in place is tricky, don’t hesitate to ask someone for assistance.
Step 4:
Measure the paper strip with a ruler up to the marked line. For more precision, measure in centimeters or in inches. This length will help you determine your ring size accurately.
Step 5:
Check the size conversion chart to find your ring size. Locate your measurement on the left side of the chart and then follow the row to identify your ring size in the appropriate column.
